About the role

The Transportation Maintenance Coordinator manages day-to-day maintenance coordination for a fleet of chassis, containers, and related equipment. The role connects drivers, dispatch, and approved maintenance vendors to help ensure repairs are dispatched quickly, completed in line with IEP (Intermodal Equipment Provider) protocols, and documented for billing and audit. The Coordinator helps minimize equipment downtime and keep freight moving safely and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately record incoming maintenance calls in the proprietary maintenance management application.
- Set up maintenance vendors based on IEP guidelines and equipment-specific repair protocols, matching the right provider to each repair.
- Issue vendor payments; scan, save, and file invoices in the appropriate folders for record-keeping and audit.
- Process invoices for payment in a timely, accurate, and well-documented manner.
- Process storage and lift payments, verifying supporting documentation and approvals.
- Communicate proactively with drivers, dispatchers, vendors, and internal teams to keep repairs on track and equipment in service.
- Track repair status and follow up on outstanding work orders to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain organized records of maintenance activity, invoices, and vendor communications, and surface recurring issues or trends to leadership.
