Vice President Finance

We are partnering with a private investment and asset management firm to identify an experienced Vice President of Finance. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a finance professional with deep expertise in alternative investments, fund accounting, financial reporting, and U.S. partnership taxation. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this individual will oversee the firm's finance function across investment funds and affiliated entities while supporting strategic growth initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee fund accounting, NAV reporting, and financial reporting across multiple investment vehicles.Prepare and review U.S. GAAP financial statements and coordinate annual audits.Manage fund waterfalls, carried interest, management fees, and expense allocations.Oversee accounting for management company and related entities.Coordinate partnership tax filings, K-1 reporting, and investor tax support.Manage treasury operations, cash forecasting, capital calls, distributions, and banking relationships.Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.Prepare consolidated financial reports and support executive decision-making.Assist with investor reporting, onboarding, and due diligence requests.Support new fund launches, special purpose vehicles (SPVs), and strategic finance initiatives.Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and scale the finance function.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of accounting and finance experience, with significant exposure to alternative investments (hedge funds, private credit, private equity, or similar).Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP and partnership accounting.Solid understanding of U.S. partnership taxation and investor reporting.Experience working with third-party fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors.Knowledge of hedge fund and private credit accounting concepts.Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Investran, Geneva, Allvue, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar.High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail when handling confidential financial information.
