Video Editor & Social Media Content Repurposer

About the role

BruntWork is looking for a creative and highly organized part-time video editor and social media content repurposer to help grow the social media presence of an educational platform focused on coexistence and thriving alongside bears and other wildlife. The role is primarily focused on editing and repurposing an extensive existing video library into engaging content aligned with the account’s established style and messaging. Approximately 90% of the role will focus on video editing and content creation.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, flexible between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm (US Pacific Time).

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the existing video library stored in Dropbox.
• Review, categorize, label, and organize existing footage, and develop a consistent file organization system.
• Identify footage for repurposing on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Maintain organized records of edited, scheduled, approved, and published content.
• Edit existing footage into polished, engaging social media content consistent with the account’s established style, tone, pacing, and quality.
• Produce short-form videos optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook, and edit longer-form content for YouTube as appropriate.
• Add captions, text overlays, transitions, music, sound effects, and other appropriate elements.
• Provide general virtual assistance, including support with media inquiries, collaborations, merchandise research, and other projects as needed.

Requirements

• Be a skilled video editor with experience creating short-form social media content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Be creative and highly organized.
