Video Editor & Colorist | Remote LATAMSalary range: 1200 -1400 USD Our studio is searching for a creative Video Editor to shape footage into polished stories for short‑ and long‑form projects. The role is suited for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment, understands color theory and cinematography, and enjoys collaborating with directors and producers to achieve a cohesive look.What you'll doSelect, organize and edit footage to build an engaging narrative. You’ll review scripts and raw material to create shot lists and assemble sequences with a clear story arc.Trim clips and adjust pacing so the final edit flows smoothly. Your goal is to maintain rhythm while ensuring continuity and logical progression.Perform color correction and grading to match the director’s visual style. You’ll help design the color palette for each project and use tools like DaVinci Resolve to achieve cinematic tones.Insert music, dialogue, graphics, sound effects and motion graphics to enhance the story. You’ll also work closely with sound designers and animators to integrate all elements.Collaborate with directors, producers and cinematographers to align the edit with the overall vision. This includes taking creative briefs, discussing style and mood, and revising cuts based on feedback.Continuously explore new editing techniques and software features to improve quality and efficiency.
What we're looking forProven experience editing narrative or commercial projects, with a portfolio showing strong storytelling, tasteful cinematography and refined color grading.Deep knowledge of non‑linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer and After Effects. Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve or similar color‑grading tools is a plus.Understanding of color theory, lighting and cinematography. You should be able to craft a consistent look that complements the director’s vision.Artistic sensibility and attention to pacing, continuity and narrative flow.Ability to collaborate with creative teams and accept feedback. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential.Degree in film production, media or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.Reliable internet connection and availability during U.S. business hours. Experience working remotely across time zones is a plus.
Compensation & Work EnvironmentSalary range: Competitive, commensurate with experience and the sophisticated eye we seek for this role. We’re willing to pay more for an exceptional candidate.Location: Fully remote. Applicants can be based anywhere but must have strong command of written and spoken English.Schedule: Full‑time (approximately 40 hours per week) with flexibility to accommodate deadlines and occasional weekend work.Benefits: Paid time off and holidays aligned with local regulations.
