(NWR-YEI) is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization dedicated to creating safe, inclusive, and engaging opportunities for children, youth, families, and the wider community. We strive to foster leadership, creativity, healthy lifestyles, and meaningful connections through quality programming and community partnerships.
Position Summary
NWR-YEI is seeking two enthusiastic, organized, and community-minded individuals to join our team as Youth & Community Engagement Workers. Working collaboratively, the successful candidates will play a key role in developing and delivering youth programming, coordinating community events, building partnerships, and creating positive experiences for people of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and facilitate youth programming and activities.
- Coordinate community-wide events, celebrations, workshops, and special initiatives.
- Work evening youth programming and supervise youth in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with youth, families, volunteers, Elders, and community members.
- Liaise with community organizations, schools, Indigenous organizations, municipalities, businesses, and other partners to develop collaborative programming and events.
- Recruit, coordinate, and support volunteers.
- Assist with grant-funded initiatives and special projects.
- Promote programs and events through social media, posters, and other communication methods.
- Maintain activity records, attendance, and basic reports.
- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the Youth Centre, including setting up activities, maintaining supplies, and ensuring the facility remains clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Perform other duties related to youth engagement and community development as assigned.
