Role Overview Gohar is collaborating with a top AI research group to recruit an experienced AI Math Tutor – Applied Mathematics Specialist based in Palo Alto, California. This part-time role focuses on training and refining advanced AI systems by providing expert mathematical inputs, labels, and annotations using proprietary software. As an AI Tutor, you will work closely with technical teams to enhance AI models’ capabilities in mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and discussions. Your contributions will include designing challenging applied math problems and improving annotation tools to boost AI performance. Key Responsibilities Label, annotate, and evaluate AI-generated applied mathematics outputs using specialized software. Deliver high-quality curated data sets to support AI model training. Collaborate with engineers and researchers to develop new AI tasks and improve annotation technologies. Enhance annotation and feedback systems for efficiency and accuracy. Solve and select complex problems in applied mathematics fields such as probability, statistics, numerical analysis, optimization, operations research, dynamical systems, and data modeling. Interpret and complete assignments with precision, adapting to evolving task instructions. Ideal Qualifications Master’s or PhD degree in Mathematics with a focus on applied mathematics. Alternatively, recognized achievement such as a medal in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) . Comfortable contributing data in text, voice, and video formats including annotations and recordings. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
