Part-Time Blockchain Developer in Durban, South Africa

As a part-time Blockchain Developer, you will be instrumental in advancing decentralized technologies and enhancing our fintech cryptocurrency dashboard. Key Responsibilities Design and develop smart contracts across multiple blockchain platforms. Implement blockchain applications and improve existing features using Node.js. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze user requirements and produce technical specifications. Perform rigorous testing of smart contracts and blockchain solutions to ensure security and optimal performance. Participate in architectural discussions and design reviews to refine blockchain infrastructure. Stay current with blockchain technology trends and cryptographic best practices. Engage in Agile workflows including sprint planning and daily stand-ups to meet project milestones. Manage cryptocurrency transactions from production environments, testnets, and dev nets to live wallet dashboards. Debug UI/UX issues post-transaction and develop solutions for generating UTXOs without external banking dependencies. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Proficiency in Solidity, JavaScript, and Node.js. Strong understanding of cryptography and blockchain architecture. Experience with distributed systems and Agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Prior experience in fintech or cryptocurrency projects is highly desirable.
