Job description
Join a mining operations team as a permanent Code 14 Driver in Eland, Northern Cape, South Africa. In this role, you will transport materials and personnel safely and efficiently, supporting day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport materials and personnel as assigned, following safe operating practices.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects or repair needs.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and submit required reports.
- Keep the vehicle in good condition and follow maintenance procedures.
- Communicate with supervisors and colleagues about schedules, delays, and transport issues.
- Follow traffic laws, site requirements, and company safety protocols.
- Attend relevant training and safety meetings.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Code 14 driver's license.
- Clear communication skills and knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance.
- Previous Code 14 driving experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Team and Reporting
The driver reports to the Transport Manager and works with logistics, operations, maintenance, safety personnel, and site supervisors.
