Cyber Security Specialist in Waxhaw, NC - TekBricks

Overview: TekBricks is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Specialist based in Waxhaw, North Carolina, to safeguard our systems, networks, and sensitive data from evolving cyber threats. This full-time role requires implementing robust security measures, continuous monitoring, incident response, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Monitor, detect, and respond promptly to security threats and incidents. Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection solutions. Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to identify security gaps. Develop, enforce, and update security policies, standards, and best practices across the organization. Provide cybersecurity awareness training and protocols to employees to promote a security-conscious culture. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Proven experience with network security, endpoint protection, and cloud security environments. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls. Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence platforms. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
