Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable database systems to support various applications and operations. Optimize database performance through effective indexing, query optimization, and statistical analysis. Implement data security measures to safeguard sensitive information and maintain regulatory compliance. Perform regular database backups and recovery tests to ensure data integrity and availability. Collaborate with software developers and IT support to integrate database systems with existing applications. Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime. Generate and maintain documentation related to database design, procedures, and best practices. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in database design and administration. Proficiency in SQL and experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle database management systems. Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Familiarity with cloud databases and services is a plus. Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Database Fundamentals or Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate preferred. Work in a collaborative, agile environment reporting directly to the Senior IT Manager. This full-time role based in Frisco offers a competitive salary of $150,000 per year with no remote work option.
