Facility Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX

Join Joel Salabarria as a Facility Maintenance Technician in Austin, Texas. You will play a vital role in maintaining our facilities to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment for all occupants. This full-time position requires hands-on experience with general repairs, HVAC knowledge, and the ability to respond promptly to emergencies across SAFE's campuses. Required and Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in general repairs preferred. HVAC Certification at the Universal level is preferred. Proficiency in English (reading and writing) preferred; Spanish is a plus. Basic computer skills including email and help desk ticket systems. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to respond promptly in person to emergencies on any SAFE campus. Physical capability to sit or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights up to 20 feet, and in various weather conditions. Manual dexterity to operate tools and machinery safely. Valid Texas Driver's License required (or obtain within 90 days if out-of-state). Respect and responsiveness to cultural diversity among staff and service populations.
