Geriatric Home Care Nurse in Heredia, Costa Rica

Enfermería Geriátrica Integral is seeking a compassionate and skilled Geriatric Home Care Nurse to provide personalized healthcare services to elderly patients in Heredia, Costa Rica. Key Responsibilities Perform thorough health assessments to identify medical and emotional needs of geriatric patients. Administer prescribed medications and treatments following safety protocols. Create individualized care plans in coordination with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Monitor patient progress and maintain detailed documentation, promptly addressing any health concerns. Offer emotional support and health education to patients and their families. Collaborate with physical therapists, social workers, and specialists to ensure comprehensive care. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices in geriatric nursing. Required and Preferred Qualifications Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license; geriatric care certifications preferred. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with elderly patients in home care or similar settings. Proficient with medical equipment and home care technologies. Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
