Job description
Enfermería Geriátrica Integral is seeking a compassionate Geriatric Home Care Nurse for an on-site contract position in Heredia, Heredia, Costa Rica. Help older adults receive personalized medical care and support in the comfort of their homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ health and identify their medical and emotional care needs.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with safety requirements.
- Develop individualized care plans with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Monitor and document patient progress and promptly communicate concerns to healthcare providers.
- Educate and support patients and families in managing health needs.
- Coordinate care with physical therapists, social workers, and other specialists.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain current geriatric care practices.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license; geriatric care certifications are preferred.
- Nursing experience with older adults; at least two years of experience in home care or a similar setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and technology used in home care.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
Compensation and Employment
Pay: 900000 per year. This is a contract position based on site in Heredia, Costa Rica.
