Operating under a hybrid work model, you will spend three days per week in the local Mercer office and two days working remotely, combining flexibility with collaboration. Key Responsibilities Drive new business growth by identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities with mid-market organizations, targeting a 15% annual increase in new client acquisition. Manage and expand a portfolio of complex, high-value client accounts, ensuring client retention and satisfaction metrics exceed 90%. Conduct proactive sales outreach including cold calls, client meetings, and tailored presentations to C-suite executives and senior stakeholders. Develop compelling sales proposals, presentations, and RFP responses customized to client needs and industry trends. Lead the full sales lifecycle from prospect identification through negotiation and contract closure, maintaining an average sales cycle of under 90 days. Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and competitive advantages. Collaborate closely with internal teams including consulting, client services, and marketing to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities across Mercer’s broader service offerings to maximize client value and revenue growth. What We're Looking For Required: Minimum 5 years of consultative sales experience in employee benefits, health consulting, or related financial services sectors. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in a mid-market or enterprise environment. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior executives and decision-makers. Ability to manage complex sales cycles and negotiate contracts effectively. Knowledge of healthcare benefits, financial security products, and workforce well-being solutions. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, or related fields. Preferred: Experience working within a hybrid or flexible work environment. Familiarity with Mercer’s service portfolio and consulting methodologies. Demonstrated ability to analyze market data and leverage insights for sales strategy. Strong teamwork skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
