Network Engineer Contract Job in Princeton, NJ

Logic Planet is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Princeton, New Jersey. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining network stability, security, and performance enhancements for our clients. Key Responsibilities Design and implement network configurations and architecture tailored to company requirements. Manage firewall settings and enforce security protocols to protect the network environment. Utilize routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP to optimize data flow and connectivity. Troubleshoot complex network issues promptly to restore full functionality. Collaborate with IT team members to develop and refine operational processes. Document network configurations and maintain an up-to-date network inventory. Monitor network performance with appropriate tools and generate regular efficiency reports. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Proficiency in LAN/WAN, VPNs, DHCP, and other networking technologies. Strong experience managing firewalls across various platforms. Expertise in routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP. Proven troubleshooting skills in complex network environments. Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ preferred. Minimum 3 years of hands-on network engineering experience. This contract position is based onsite in Princeton, NJ, and is not eligible for remote work. The Network Engineer will report directly to the IT Manager and collaborate closely with the IT team to support company-wide networking initiatives.
