Senior Data Engineer Job in Toronto, Ontario

I TECH US is seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to design and optimize data pipelines supporting critical financial services operations. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL processes for diverse data sources. Build and optimize data pipelines using Apache Airflow to ensure high reliability and performance. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate data requirements into technical solutions. Implement and improve data architecture for warehousing, focusing on data quality and integrity. Monitor data flows and troubleshoot issues to maintain seamless data availability. Document technical specifications and best practices to support team knowledge sharing. Stay updated on industry trends and recommend new tools and technologies. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles. Expertise with AWS services including S3, Redshift, and Glue. Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with financial services data processing and compliance regulations. Experience creating and managing data pipelines using Apache Airflow. This position reports to the Data Engineering Manager and involves close collaboration with project managers and data teams. The role is onsite in Toronto and is not eligible for remote work. Compensation: $65 per hour (CAD)
