In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored educational experiences to students with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Utilize various teaching methodologies and tools to engage students and facilitate effective learning. Assess and monitor student progress, adapting instruction and interventions as needed to ensure success. Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and behavior management. Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to discuss student progress and collaborate on strategies for support. Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with best practices in special education. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and specialists, to support the holistic development of students. What We're Looking For: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field. Strong skills in patience, communication, problem-solving, assessment, and behavior management. Familiarity with special education laws and regulations. 1-3 years of experience working with students in a special education setting is preferred. Preferred: Relevant certifications in special education. The Special Education Teacher will report directly to the school principal and work closely with a team of passionate educators and specialists. Collaboration is key, as you will engage in cross-functional partnerships with paraprofessionals, school psychologists, and other educational leaders to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
