Operating a 112-ton TETA C31 cab-controlled overhead gantry crane to safely execute critical lifting operations in support of planned maintenance activities.. Transporting and positioning heavy plant equipment, including turbines, boilers, generators, transformers, and auxiliary components, ensuring that all lifting operations were completed accurately, safely, and within scheduled maintenance timeframes.. Interpreting approved lifting plans and load specifications to determine the safest lifting methods while maintaining compliance with operational procedures and engineering requirements.. Conducting comprehensive pre-operational inspections of the crane, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and safety components, ensuring the equipment was fully operational and compliant with company standards.. Completing daily inspection checklists, reporting mechanical defects or safety concerns immediately, and ensuring that the crane was not operated until all identified issues had been resolved.. Performing routine housekeeping around the crane operating area to maintain a safe working environment.. Adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act), company safety policies, permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and site-specific lifting protocols.. Providing administrative and clerical support to streamline operations and enable the team to meet deadlines and client expectations effectively.. Participating in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and pre-job risk assessments, identifying potential hazards before commencing lifting activities and implementing appropriate control measures to minimise operational risks.. Maintaining safe working distances, load stability, and compliance with all lifting limits and operational parameters.
