Developed GIM, an AI-agent system that reads 2D guardrail standard plans from FDOT, GDOT and DelDOT and extracts their construction parameters.. Combined rule-based extraction in Python with a locally run language model, and added an OCR step for scanned drawings.. Stored the extracted data as IFC 4.3-aligned records; every record goes through human review before export.. Evaluated the system on 12 standard plans using precision, recall and F1.
Undergraduate Thesis
Building a tool that combines BIM and supervised machine learning to flag constructability and rebar congestion issues in reinforced concrete coupling beams, based on ACI 318 and NSR-10.. Wrote Python (Jupyter) routines that check geometry, boundary elements, volumetric reinforcement ratio and longitudinal bar spacing.. Defined the model's input variables (reinforcement ratios, geometric configuration); validation is ongoing.
