Your Role:As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects, leading teams, and driving engineering solutions. Responsibilities include:Overseeing the design and execution of complex mechanical and plumbing projectsManaging project scope, schedule, and budgets to ensure successful deliveryProviding technical leadership and mentorship to engineering staffPreparing and reviewing plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimatesEnsure compliance with building design and codes and standards.Utilize energy & loads modeling software as well as AutoCAD and Revit/BIM for layout and modeling of MEP systems.Perform load and ventilation calculations, duct, piping, and plumbing design, system selections, energy modeling.Coordinating with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and multidiscipline staff to ensure project successConducting construction oversight and administration as neededLeading business development efforts, including proposal writing and client engagement
Project Types:You will lead and manage a variety of projects, including:HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air-Conditioning)Sanitary and Domestic Plumbing Systems DesignHeating & Cooling Central Plant, Distribution, & Building Hydronic SystemsAir Distribution, Industrial Ventilation & Heat Recovery SystemsHigh Performance Sustainable Building Systems & Energy EngineeringFederal Government facilities (e.g., U.S. Air Force projects)Health Care Special SystemsLaboratory Special SystemsCommercial, Industrial, Educational facilities etc.
What We’re Looking For:We are seeking an experienced leader with strong technical and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have:B.S. or M.S in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical focus from an accredited universityProfessional Engineer (PE) license required5+ years of experience in MEP consulting and design of building mechanical systems.Must have in-depth knowledge on application of:International Mechanical CodeUniform and International Plumbing CodesInternational Fuel Gas Code and NFPA 54International Energy Conservation CodeInternational Building CodeProven leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing projects and teamsStrong client relationship management and business development experienceAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver high-quality work on scheduleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAble/willingness to visit construction sites and spend 5-10% of the week outside the office.Experience living or working in Montana is a plus
