DeAngelis Diamond is searching for an AI Engineer in Naples, United States, with experience in AI and a passion for construction, innovation, and bridging the gap between business goals and technology.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship custom internal web applications that replace or reduce reliance on third-party SaaS products.
• Build AI-powered tools and workflows using the Claude API, including custom agents, automation pipelines, and internal productivity apps.
• Develop and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) connections between Claude and SaaS platforms, including Procore, Microsoft 365, Box, and Autodesk.
• Write production-quality code in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript with React or similar frontend frameworks.
• Prototype rapidly, iterate, and use AI coding tools.
• Stay current on AI models, tools, frameworks, and capabilities; evaluate their usefulness for the business.
• Research and test AI development approaches and present findings to leadership.
• Explore AI methods for construction use cases across estimating, scheduling, safety, field operations, and client experience.
• Manage code in GitHub, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Own deployment and hosting of internal tools, including CI/CD pipeline setup.
• Partner with the data team to uphold data quality standards and support accurate, reliable reporting through tools and integrations.
• Partner with department leads to understand pain points and translate them into buildable solutions.
• Travel to project sites, offices, and conferences as required.

Requirements

• Experience in AI and a passion for construction, innovation, and bridging business goals and technology.
• Production-quality coding in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript with React or similar frontend frameworks.
