Apptio Quality Engineer (QA Automation)

Tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Apptio applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate data flows between Apptio and upstream/downstream systems.
• Perform backend testing and data validation using SQL.
• Develop automation scripts using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Test REST APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business teams. Support defect triage, root-cause analysis, and test documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA/testing experience with strong test automation expertise.
• Hands-on experience testing Apptio implementations/applications - mandatory.
• Strong understanding of Apptio data, reporting, workflows, and integrations.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or comparable automation tools.
• Strong API testing skills.
• Good SQL and data-validation experience.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
