Area Operations Manager

About the role

LONGHORN STAFFING SOLUTIONS is seeking an experienced Area Operations Manager to oversee construction operations throughout the West Texas and Southeast New Mexico energy market. This role leads operations across multiple projects, with a focus on safe, efficient, on-schedule execution in accordance with client expectations.

The role provides leadership to project and field teams and works closely with senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for projects and field activities within the assigned geographic area.
• Oversee multiple projects from mobilization through completion.
• Lead Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel.
• Monitor project performance, schedules, manpower requirements, productivity, and execution.
• Ensure appropriate project staffing and effective use of manpower and equipment resources.
• Work with project management and field leadership to identify and resolve operational challenges.
• Maintain client relationships and serve as a point of contact for operational matters.
• Monitor project costs, productivity, schedules, and performance against established goals.
• Participate in project planning, estimating reviews, staffing decisions, and operational strategy.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and quality standards are followed.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and ensure field operations meet company and client safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

• Experienced operations leader with a strong background in industrial construction, oil & gas, pipeline, facilities, energy infrastructure, or related construction services.
