Position overview

Lauren Hathcote is seeking an Assistant Rural Carrier to deliver packages on Sundays and USPS-observed holidays. This is a part-time, non-career position with optional additional work available.

• Required work is Sundays and USPS-observed holidays.
• Saturday and weekday work may be available if desired.

qualifications and training

• Valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• At least two years of unsupervised passenger-vehicle driving experience.
• Training includes driving from the right side and operating postal vehicles.
• A suitable personal vehicle may be required if USPS does not assign one; additional compensation applies in this case.
• Duties involve moderate to heavy lifting, carrying, prolonged standing, reaching, and walking.
