With operations in Israel, Poland, and the United States, the client group of companies has brought online over 1GW, with a pipeline of more than 7GW, leading the “green revolution” in the energy sector with its innovative solar and wind energy generation projects.
In the United States, our client currently operates more than 600 MW of renewable capacity within the PJM region, supported by a multi-gigawatt development pipeline. The company is making significant long-term investments in the U.S. market and is well positioned for continued growth through its integrated EPC model and strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as First Solar and Google.
We are seeking a Site Manager to support projects across Virginia and the Mid‑Atlantic region. Although Energix is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, this role is 100% travel and is fully field‑based, requiring regular presence at active solar project sites.
The Site Manager will be an integral part of the project management team, overseeing utility‑scale solar projects from permitting to closeout and turnover to the Operations & Maintenance team.
The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to specification, coordinating across internal teams, contractors, inspectors, consultants, and local authorities.
Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesTravel Requirement — Travel 100% of the time to active solar project sites across Virginia and the Mid‑Atlantic region.Project Coordination — Plan daily site activities, allocate tasks, and ensure subcontractors, suppliers, and crews work in sync to meet project milestones.Site Supervision — Monitor work progress, enforce quality standards, and resolve issues that could delay project completion.Health & Safety Management — Implement safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, ensure OSHA compliance, and maintain a hazard‑free site.Resource Management — Oversee materials, equipment, and labor to prevent shortages and ensure operational efficiency.Stakeholder Communication — Serve as the on‑site point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and senior management.Documentation & Reporting — Maintain site logs, prepare progress reports, track change orders, and document incidents or delays.Quality Assurance — Verify work meets project specifications, building codes, and contractual requirements.Problem Resolution — Address unexpected issues such as weather delays, design conflicts, or supply disruptions.Prepare contractor agreements ensuring compliance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.Manage project budgets, RFIs, change orders, and overall financial risk.Coordinate equipment, materials, subcontractors, and vendors for successful project execution.Support project closeout including commissioning, training, warranties, and O&M turnover.
Job requirementsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience4 years of construction management experience, preferably in utility‑scale solar or renewable energy projects on the East Coast; experience as a general contractor is considered.Strong knowledge of solar construction processes, including scheduling, estimating, and subcontractor management.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar scheduling tools.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy.Skilled in contractor outreach, project estimation, RFIs, submittal reviews, and progress reporting.Excellent problem‑solving, stakeholder communication, and team leadership skills.Familiarity with local permitting, inspections, and compliance standards.

EducationBachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Work Location, Remote Work, and Travel:This position will be based in Arlington, Virginia. Regular travel (five days a week) to job sites across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region is required. Work will be primarily field-based with minimal remote flexibility due to on-site responsibilities. Weekend work may occasionally be required based on project needs.
