About the role
Supporting Office of Tax & Revenue
Join the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) and play a critical role in shaping tax policy, advising on complex legal matters, and supporting the District's tax administration efforts.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible legal experience.
- At least two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience advising on complex legal and regulatory matters involving local and federal tax law.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of: Federal and state tax laws; Tax theories, practices, and principles; Legislative drafting and proposal development.
- Experience proposing and drafting legislation.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, or eligible for admission to the D.C. Bar and obtain membership within six (6) months of employment.
- Official law school transcript is required and must be submitted to receive consideration.
Pay
- $176,948 - $214,712
