About the role
L.A. Unified Careers is hiring an Associate Project Engineer I to assist project management staff with construction engineering issues and project compliance to District standards.
Responsibilities
- Receive on-the-job training and apply basic knowledge and skills to support project management staff.
- Assist with analyzing construction engineering issues and ensuring project compliance to District standards.
- Provide support during the negotiation of change orders and cost estimates.
- Input and process project-related documentation using project management software.
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in architecture; civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, or environmental engineering; or construction management.
- Students currently enrolled in a stated program or quarter of a degree program in these fields may be allowed to compete in the employment assessment. Successful candidates will have their name withheld from the eligibility list pending verification of their confirmed degree.
