Job description
Govind is hiring a full-time Backend Developer (Backoffice) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Join a collaborative technology team of more than 500 professionals and help build reliable backend services that support efficient operations and a strong customer experience. This is an on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java.
- Work with front-end developers, product managers, and stakeholders to plan and deliver features.
- Debug backend issues and improve system reliability.
- Optimize backend processes for performance and scalability.
- Review code and follow software development best practices.
- Contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile activities.
- Monitor system performance and perform maintenance to support uptime.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Strong Java programming skills.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other database management systems.
- Familiarity with Git or another version control system.
- Two to five years of backend development experience.
- Knowledge of RESTful services and microservices architecture is a plus.
- Java or backend development certifications are preferred.
