Job description
Tasks
- Perform general building maintenance and minor repairs.
- Conduct routine and preventive inspections of units, common areas, equipment, and building systems.
- Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall, and general repair work.
- Monitor heating, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems and report any issues.
- Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and management.
- Assist with unit turnovers and preparation between occupancies.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and service providers when required.
- Maintain maintenance records and follow up on outstanding work.
- Ensure common areas and building facilities remain safe and in good condition.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in building maintenance, property maintenance, construction, or a related field is an asset.
- General knowledge of building systems and repairs.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills.
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
