Virtalink is seeking a Cable Technician (Independent Contractor) in Orlando, Florida. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot cable systems for residential and commercial customers while supporting reliable network service and a positive customer experience. This is an on-site 1099 contractor opportunity with schedule flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot cable systems for residential and commercial clients.
- Evaluate job sites to identify cable routes, placement, and connection requirements.
- Use cable installation tools and equipment, including testers and splicing equipment, while following safety protocols.
- Explain system functionality and basic maintenance to customers.
- Accurately document service orders, installation details, and customer interactions.
- Coordinate with project managers and fellow technicians to complete installations on schedule.
- Participate in team discussions to resolve challenges and share best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of relevant telecommunications experience.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting cable systems.
