Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and follow traffic laws and applicable regulations.
- Transport goods to assigned destinations and meet delivery schedules.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to confirm vehicle safety and roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate driving-hour and delivery records in accordance with DOT requirements.
- Coordinate with dispatch and team members about schedules and on-road issues.
- Assist with cargo loading and unloading and follow proper handling procedures.
- Attend training and meetings to stay current on company policies and regulations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid CDL Class A license and a clean driving record.
- At least 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation compliance requirements.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing road conditions or schedules.
