Certified Nursing Assistant / Home Health Aide – Fort Lauderdale, FL

Pennie's Home Health is hiring a compassionate, reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) for a full-time, in-home caregiving role in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Help clients maintain their dignity, privacy, comfort, and independence while providing care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Position Details

• Schedule: Flexible availability is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility, including transfers, walking, and prescribed exercises.
• Monitor and report vital signs and intake and output as directed by the care plan.
• Complete light housekeeping related to client safety and comfort.
• Observe, document, and report changes in a client's condition or environment.
• Follow individualized care plans and registered nurse instructions.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical notes and promptly share concerns with the supervising nurse.
• Attend required staff meetings, orientation, and annual in-service training, including a minimum of 12 hours.
• Follow HIPAA requirements and protect client confidentiality.

Qualifications

• At least one year of hands-on caregiving experience in home health, a care facility, or private care.
• Current CNA certification in good standing, if applicable.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Demonstrated competency in caregiving tasks.
• Compassionate, responsible, dependable approach to client care.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Flexible availability is strongly preferred to support varied client needs.

Work Environment

This is an in-person home health position involving travel to clients' homes. Applicants should be prepared to perform the physical tasks required to provide personal care and support client mobility safely.
