Chinese Interpreter (English–Chinese) – Kuala Lumpur

About the Role

We are seeking a fluent Chinese and English interpreter for a full-time, remote-eligible role based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will support clear communication across languages in meetings, conferences, calls, and written materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken communication between Chinese and English during meetings, conferences, and calls.
• Translate documents, emails, and other written materials accurately and with cultural awareness.
• Provide real-time interpretation to support communication among stakeholders.
• Maintain attention to detail and preserve the meaning and integrity of each message.
• Stay current with industry-specific terminology.
• Resolve inconsistencies and interpretation challenges using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Support cultural awareness education to improve understanding among diverse groups.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in Chinese and English is essential.
• A bachelor's degree in linguistics or translation is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Equipment for remote interpretation, including a 1080p Full HD webcam, USB noise-canceling headset, and solid white backdrop.
• A laptop or PC with an Intel Core i5 (10th generation or newer) or Core i7 processor, at least 8 GB of RAM, and Windows 10.
