Clinical Nursing Supervisor RN Oncology

About the role

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) for Oncology. This full-time position is scheduled for nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, in 12-hour shifts.

The supervisor serves as the acting leader in the absence of the Director or Manager and is accountable for staffing coordination, patient care oversight, staff supervision, performance improvement initiatives, and departmental operations during the assigned shift. Direct patient care may be provided as needed within scope of practice.

Central Maine Medical Center is a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital and is home to the region's only Cancer Care Center, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational oversight for the Oncology department.
• Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensure quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and patient safety standards.
• Coordinate staffing, workflow, and departmental operations during the assigned shift.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
