Job description
Microne industries is hiring a full-time CNC VMC Machine Operator in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. In this on-site manufacturing role, you will operate and program Vertical Machining Center (VMC) equipment to produce precision components and uphold quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC VMC machines to manufacture components according to specifications.
- Program and set up CNC machining tasks.
- Inspect finished products and perform quality control checks.
- Complete routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to reduce downtime.
- Work with colleagues to improve machining processes and production efficiency.
- Maintain accurate production and machine-performance records.
- Contribute to discussions about technology adoption and workflow improvements.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience operating and programming CNC VMC machinery; 2–5 years is preferred.
- Knowledge of quality control and machine maintenance.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and machining tools.
- CNC machining certifications are preferred.
Work Environment
Report to the Production Manager and collaborate with engineers, quality assurance staff, and other team members. The role supports teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
