Commercial Property Claims Specialist

Position Summary
We are recruiting for a Claims Specialist to handle some of the company’s most complex, high-value E&S Commercial Property claims nationwide.
This is a highly visible role for an experienced Property Claims professional who enjoys complex coverage issues, large-loss exposures and sophisticated claim resolution. The Claims Specialist will independently evaluate exposures, develop claim strategies and drive files toward resolution within assigned authority.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage complex and high-value Commercial Property claimsAnalyze coverage, damages, liability and overall claim exposureEstablish appropriate reserves and evaluate claims within assigned settlement authorityDevelop and execute strategies to drive claims toward timely and effective resolutionManage outside adjusters, experts, counsel and other claim-related vendorsProvide clear and concise reporting on significant claims to Claims Leadership and Senior ManagementKeep reinsurers informed of significant developments and changes in exposureParticipate in mediations, trials, settlement conferences and other claim-related proceedingsRepresent the company at meetings, industry events and other business functions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree5+ years of Commercial Property Claims experienceExperience handling complex and/or high-severity Property lossesStrong understanding of coverage, reserving, exposure evaluation and claim resolutionExperience working with outside adjusters, experts and counselMust possess and maintain an Adjuster’s License
