Job description
AEC National Recruiters is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Construction Assistant Project Manager for a full-time, on-site position in Ronkonkoma, New York. Earn $55,000 per year while supporting construction projects from planning through completion. Work alongside experienced professionals to help deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and in line with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with construction project planning and execution; monitor progress and budget adherence.
- Communicate project updates and help resolve issues with contractors, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Visit job sites to review progress and check compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date project records, including meeting minutes, contracts, and change orders.
- Support procurement by helping prepare project specifications and identify required construction materials.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, site supervisors, and other team members to align project goals.
- Participate in project meetings to review timelines, challenges, and solutions.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training in construction project management is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in a construction-related role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with project stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of project management principles and construction techniques.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools, such as Procore, is required.
