Controller – Bridgeport, WV

monika tiwari is seeking a skilled Controller for a full-time, on-site position in Bridgeport, West Virginia. The Controller will lead essential accounting and financial operations, support accurate reporting, and help maintain the organization’s financial integrity. This role works closely with the finance team, executive team, and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting department, including daily bookkeeping and payroll processing, to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analyses, explain financial performance, and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct regular audits and help ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable regulations.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with departmental leaders.
• Supervise bank statement reconciliations and prepare adjustments to keep accounts accurate.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare documents and statements for financial audits.
• Improve finance department processes and systems to strengthen efficiency and effectiveness.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Three to five years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and payroll processing.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage, and Microsoft Excel.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.

Compensation and Employment Details

• Pay: $71,000 per year.
• Job type: Full-time.
• Work arrangement: On-site in Bridgeport, West Virginia; this position is not remote.
