Data Engineer

About the role

Select-Jarvis is seeking a Data Engineer to support healthcare reporting and analytics, including healthcare quality metrics such as HEDIS, Star Ratings, and CMS reporting.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, restart, and troubleshoot production data pipelines.
• Coordinate daily activities with offshore engineering and operations teams.
• Manage AWS-based file transfers and Amazon S3.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Support ETL/ELT workflows for healthcare reporting and analytics.
• Create SOPs, runbooks, process flows, and technical documentation.
• Build new operational processes and workflows from the ground up.
• Participate in incident management, RCA, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Healthcare experience should include areas such as Medicare Advantage, HEDIS, Star Ratings, CMS quality reporting, healthcare payer or health plan data, and NCQA-related programs.
• Key skills: Python, PySpark, Bash, AWK, AWS, S3, EBS, IAM, MySQL, Amazon Redshift, SQL, Spark, Airflow, Informatica, Talend, Git, Docker, ETL/ELT and production data pipeline support, data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
