This pivotal role involves managing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of network systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. The D-CIO will collaborate closely with the CIO to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals, ensuring all networking operations support these objectives. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CIO to develop and implement networking strategies that align with the overall IT roadmap. Network Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPNs, and cloud-based networking solutions. Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging networking technologies to enhance performance, scalability, and security. Network Operations & Maintenance: Ensure continuous network availability and reliability through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting. Executive Search Support: Develop recruitment strategies, identify and assess candidates, and support negotiation phases with the City of Philadelphia's Office of Innovation and Technology Leadership Team. Qualifications 12+ years of progressive experience in network architecture, design, and management. Strong leadership and strategic planning skills. Deep understanding of emerging trends in network technologies. Proven ability to manage complex network infrastructures in hybrid work environments.
