Design Network Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan, design, and implement LAN/WLAN, camera, intrusion, video access control, voice, and video convergence integration.
• Perform design, implementation, and performance engineering analysis, and diagnostics for large complex infrastructure network systems.
• Supervise the work of lower-level technicians and assigning the right implementation/integration tasks for internetworking infrastructure systems throughout the District.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in math, computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, data communications, network engineering, telecommunications management, or a related field. Qualifying experience and position may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis provided that the requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent is met.

Experience: Six years of direct experience designing, engineering, implementing, and configuring enterprise network infrastructure systems. Two years of aforementioned experience must include two years of designing LAN/WLAN and VoIP technologies into an enterprise IT infrastructure. One year of camera, intrusion, and public address systems is required.

Special: CCNP is required.

Salary: $75.60 - $92.90 / Hourly
