Desktop Support Technician Contract Job in Liverpool, NY

Itechus is seeking a dedicated and skilled Desktop Support Technician for a contract position in Liverpool, New York. Join our IT team to support a mid-sized organization by ensuring smooth operation of internal systems and delivering quality technical assistance to staff. Key Responsibilities Provide first and second-level technical support for hardware and software issues to employees. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly while communicating effectively with users. Assist with user account setup and permissions management across various systems. Document issues and solutions in the ticketing system for knowledge sharing. Collaborate with IT team members to identify recurring issues and implement long-term fixes. Participate in IT projects including system upgrades, rollouts, and transitions. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems and basic networking concepts. Proficient in software applications and hardware troubleshooting. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician are a plus. Minimum 2 years of desktop support experience. This role reports to the IT Manager and works closely with Help Desk staff, network engineers, and other IT professionals to deliver seamless technical support. This is an on-site contract position in Liverpool, NY. Competitive pay at $30 per hour.
