Job description
Itechus is hiring a skilled Desktop Support Technician on a contract basis in Liverpool, New York. Join our IT team to provide essential first and second-level technical support, ensuring smooth operation of hardware and software for a mid-sized organization. Key Responsibilities Deliver first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and peripherals. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and related devices. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly while communicating effectively with users. Assist with user account setup and permissions management across systems. Document issues and solutions in the ticketing system for knowledge sharing. Collaborate with IT team members to identify recurring problems and develop long-term fixes. Participate in IT projects including system upgrades, rollouts, and transitions. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems and basic networking concepts. Proficient in software applications and hardware troubleshooting. Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, or equivalent. Minimum 2 years experience in desktop support roles. Work closely with the IT Manager, Help Desk staff, and network engineers to maintain high productivity and seamless IT services. This is an on-site contract role based in Liverpool, NY, paying $30 per hour.
