Job description
Institution: Financial Crime Management ConsultancyRole: Director / Senior Director, Client DevelopmentSalary: $1750,000 - $225,000 base + bonus - OTE $350,000 - $400,000 + ESOP
Role:Our client is a specialist financial crime management consultancy working exclusively with Tier 2 commercial, retail and foreign banks. As Director or Senior Director of Client Development, you will be the senior commercial face of the business, and will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building long-term client relationships, and bringing deep financial crime expertise to every engagement.
This is a hybrid role based in the New York area.
Responsibilities:Drive new business development targeting Tier 2 commercial, retail, and foreign banks across the US.Build and manage a pipeline of consulting engagements with a personal revenue target of $2–3M annually.Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with CCOs, Heads of AML, Compliance Directors, and other key stakeholders.Lead proposal development, pitch presentations and contract negotiations.Serve as a subject matter expert across AML, Compliance, Sanctions, KYC, and/or Fraud, contributing to thought leadership and client delivery as needed.Collaborate closely with internal delivery teams to ensure seamless handover and ongoing client satisfaction.Represent the firm at industry conferences, regulatory forums, and networking events.Contribute to the development of service offerings, go-to-market strategy, and marketing materials.Mentor junior commercial team members and help build a scalable BD function.
Requirements:10+ years of experience in financial crime management consulting, ideally within a specialist advisory or Big 4 / Tier 1 consulting environment.Deep domain knowledge across one or more of: AML, BSA Compliance, Sanctions, KYC or FraudDemonstrated track record of generating $2M+ in annual consulting revenue or managing a significant client portfolio.Established relationships within Tier 2 banking (commercial, retail, foreign bank branches/agencies).Strong understanding of the US regulatory landscape including FinCEN, OCC, FDIC and Federal Reserve expectations.Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (CAMS, CFE, etc.) a plus.NYC metro area based; comfortable with a hybrid schedule and occasional travel to clients and conferences.
