Education Liaison Information Referral Specialist

In this role, you’ll help families navigate Special Education, connect them with resources, and work with schools and community partners to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

REQUIREMENTS
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under stress and perform light physical tasks as needed.
• Knowledge of IDEA, ADA, and Special Education laws.
• Ability to advocate for and educate parents about their SPED rights and responsibilities.
• College degree preferred; high school diploma may be considered depending on knowledge and experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Provide one-on-one information, guidance, and support to families.
• Help families understand Special Education rights, services, and resources.
• Lead trainings and discussions on IDEA and Special Education topics.
• Conduct outreach to connect with new families through Acadiania.
• Provide information and professional development to educators and community partners.
• Build relationships with schools, educators, agencies, and community partners.
• Assist with other program and contract-related activities as needed.
