Embedded Software Engineer – San Diego, CA

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded applications using C and C++.
• Implement cryptography solutions for secure data transmission.
• Integrate hardware and software, and test systems to validate functionality.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and document the software lifecycle.
• Stay current with embedded systems technologies and industry trends.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.
• Proficiency in embedded C and C++ programming.
• Experience implementing cryptography.
• Strong hardware and software integration skills.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities.
• At least 3 years of embedded software development experience; experience in a similar role is preferred.

Work Environment

Work alongside hardware engineers, product managers, and other teams on embedded software and hardware integration projects. Reporting relationships are established within the engineering department.
