Engineering & Biomedical Intern

About the role

Gain hands-on medical device experience with the engineering team of a San Antonio medtech company pioneering the next generation of perfusion technology.

Tasks

• Create 3D CAD models and drawings in SolidWorks
• Assist with prototype builds and bench testing
• Help maintain BOMs and assembly documentation
• Support DFM reviews of injection-molded parts
• Help draft test protocols and work instructions
• Support ex-vivo studies with our research team
• Keep accurate engineering and lab records

Requirements

• Junior, senior, or graduate student in Biomedical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Comfortable with hands-on work in a lab and prototyping environment
• Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD (preferred)
• Hands-on experience with 3D printing, machining, or lab testing (preferred)
• Familiarity with medical device design controls or ISO 13485 (preferred)
• Interest in medtech, healthcare, or startups (preferred)
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (preferred)
