Enrolled Nurse ICUCCU Experience

REQUIREMENTS:
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as Enrolled Nurse
• Compliance with the SANAC code for an Enrolled Nurse and all applicable health care regulations
• Minimum 2 years in ICU/CCU experience in the nursing discipline would be an advantage
• Elementary course / high care course would be an advantage
• Computer Literacy
• Flexible in working hours/Shifts

THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
The enrolled nurse is responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care at a group of patient(s) and will work under the direct and/or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse and Unit Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITYIES:
• Ensure that all documentation is maintained timeously and accurately, regarding patient care
• Maintain therapeutic, clean and safe environment that is free from infection/ hazards
• Medical dealing/ assessments
• Contribute to the holistic care of patients
• Participate in ward/unit's quality improvement programme
• Attend and conduct in-service/ that patient/correspondence
• Effective communication with patients regarding their care
• Promotion of patient overall health and wellbeing
• Refer all complaints from patients and visitors to senior charge of the unit
• Carry out all departmental duties as assigned by supervisors and ensure timeous completion of all delegated tasks
