Start a career in locksmithing with Budget Locksmith of New Mexico as an Entry-Level Locksmith in Albuquerque, New Mexico. No prior locksmith experience is required. You’ll receive free training while learning practical skills alongside experienced locksmiths.

The listed pay is $65,000 per year; this is a 1099 independent contractor role paid per job. Actual compensation is based on jobs completed.

Key Responsibilities

Learn locksmithing techniques and use tools for lock repairs and installations.
Assist customers with lock-related questions and provide courteous service.
Perform routine maintenance on locks and locking mechanisms.
Learn to make new keys and accurately duplicate existing keys.
Work with experienced locksmiths and team members on service projects.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Document service calls and customer interactions.

Qualifications

GED or equivalent.
No previous locksmith experience required; willingness to learn is essential.
