Regional Safety Manager (Direct Hire)Location: Denver Metro Area (Regional Travel Required)Compensation: $70,000 - $110,000 Annually + BenefitsEmployment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time
Position OverviewSAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Safety Manager on behalf of a nationally recognized underground construction contractor with more than 65 years of experience delivering complex geotechnical, earth retention, and infrastructure projects throughout the United States. This position will provide regional safety leadership across multiple project sites and report directly to the Director of Safety & Risk Management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong construction safety background, experience working in dynamic field environments, and the ability to influence both project teams and leadership while driving a proactive safety culture. This role requires extensive travel to active project sites throughout the region.
ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee safety, health, and environmental programs across multiple construction projects.Conduct site assessments, audits, and inspections to identify risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Develop, implement, and refine company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.Analyze incident trends, loss data, and leading and lagging indicators to identify areas of risk and implement corrective actions.Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action development.Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and applicable client requirements.Develop and deliver safety training programs that support operational goals and workforce development.Review and oversee Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and other project-specific safety planning documents.Partner with operations leadership to integrate safety into project planning, execution, and client deliverables.Establish and track key safety performance metrics and communicate results to leadership.Evaluate emerging technologies, equipment, and construction methodologies to improve safety performance and operational efficiency.Mentor and support field personnel while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.Maintain a consistent field presence through regular travel to project sites.
QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of construction safety experience required.Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related field preferred.BCSP certification preferred.Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and EPA regulations.Ability to train, coach, influence, and motivate personnel at all levels of an organization.Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic.Ability and willingness to travel extensively by air and ground transportation.
