Field Superintendent

About the role

Novax Recruitment Group is partnering with a growing heavy industrial construction and steel fabrication contractor with approximately 300 employees, in-house fabrication capabilities and major projects across the United States.

Field Superintendents lead day-to-day field operations on demanding industrial projects, ensuring work is safe, productive, organised and on schedule. Projects may include structural steel erection, heavy industrial construction, steel mills, manufacturing facilities, power generation, data centres, shipbuilding, heavy rigging and equipment installation.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews, foremen and subcontractors.
• Promote an accountable safety culture, run daily safety meetings and coordinate site activities.
• Manage sequencing and short-term and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate fabrication, erection, rigging and project teams.
• Identify productivity issues and track progress against schedule, budget and quality expectations.
• Develop foremen and future field leaders.
• Build relationships with clients and inspectors.

Requirements

• Experience as a Superintendent who can lead a jobsite, earn the respect of a crew and deliver industrial projects safely and efficiently.

Benefits

• Up to $75/hr plus $160/day per diem, 7 days a week.
