If you’re an experienced Superintendent who knows how to take control of a jobsite, earn the respect of a crew and deliver demanding industrial projects safely and efficiently, this is worth a conversation.
We’re partnering with a rapidly growing heavy industrial construction and steel fabrication contractor with approximately 300 employees, extensive in-house fabrication capabilities and a strong pipeline of major projects across the United States.
They’re looking for proven Field Superintendents who want serious projects, strong earning potential and the opportunity to grow with a contractor that is expanding nationally.
🏗️ THE PROJECTSYou could be leading work across:• Structural steel erection• Heavy industrial construction• Steel mills• Manufacturing facilities• Power generation• Data centres• Shipbuilding• Heavy rigging & equipment installationThese are large, technically demanding projects where strong field leadership makes the difference.
👷 THE ROLEYou’ll have real ownership of day-to-day field operations — leading from the front and making sure the job is safe, productive, organised and on schedule.
You’ll be responsible for:✅ Leading field crews, foremen and subcontractors✅ Driving a strong, accountable safety culture✅ Running daily safety meetings and coordinating site activities✅ Managing sequencing and short-term/look-ahead schedules✅ Coordinating fabrication, erection, rigging and project teams✅ Identifying productivity issues before they become costly problems✅ Tracking progress against schedule, budget and quality expectations✅ Developing foremen and the next generation of field leadership✅ Building strong relationships with clients and inspectors
This is not a “manage from the trailer” Superintendent position.They want someone who understands the work, stays close to the field and can plan ahead, solve problems and get the best out of their crews.
🎯 WHO THEY WANTYou’ll ideally come from a background in steel erection, heavy industrial construction, steel mills, manufacturing, heavy rigging or similarly complex industrial environments.More importantly, you’ll be the type of Superintendent who can command respect without creating friction, hold people accountable and drive productivity without simply throwing more manpower and hours at the problem.
💰 THE PACKAGEThe earning potential and travel package are strong:💵 Up to $75/hr💵 $160/day per diem – paid 7 days per week🚚 Company truck provided⛽ Company gas card🛣️ Tolls covered⏱️ Travel time paid✈️ Flights home covered where appropriate🏖️ Typically 2 weeks PTO – negotiable for experienced hires🏥 Full benefits package💰 401(k)
Typical schedules run approximately 55–60 hours per week, with nationwide travel and generally a three-day weekend home each month.
