VERISTAT LLC is seeking a part-time Financial Analyst in Arcata, California. This remote-eligible role supports financial decision-making for a biotechnology company, contributing to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
• Prepare reports that explain company performance and recommend improvements.
• Monitor financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform strategic decisions.
• Maintain financial models and projections, ensuring they reflect current business conditions.
• Collaborate with departments to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data.
• Prepare documentation and reports to support audits and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial reporting processes.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial analysis or modeling tools.
• Prior financial analyst or related experience preferred; approximately 2–3 years is ideal.
• Knowledge of biotechnology industry trends is a plus.
